We can handle obtaining permits
An often overlooked area of sign planning is the issue of permitting.
All over the United States various Cities, Townships, and Villages have rules
relating to the size, placement, and other specific criteria for signs. It is very
important that these restrictions are researched before beginning your sign
buying experience. We have found that in most cases the church that is
purchasing the sign has the smoothest experience with the permitting process
because of your relationship with your community. Please let us know at the
time of the sign design any pertinent criteria for meeting your local code.
If you want a turn-key experience where we handle all permitting, we
provide that service for a nominal procurement fee.
Many areas have the issue of Zoning Permit and the separate issue of
Building Permits. Building permits generally have to do with the engineering
of the foundation and the electricity. We can provide stamped engineered
drawings of our signs for all 50 states. These are often required for local
Building Departments. These are available starting at $300.00.

process. We have seen many companies who manufacture church signs over-
simplify the permitting and installation process and give the church an
unrealistic expectation of what happens when the truck shows up with the sign.
We have heard countless horror stories of receiving a sign that was not allowed
to be installed under local zoning codes or not running the proper electricity for
the sign or having difficulty getting engineered drawings for the electrical
